16 Dec, 2025 - 4 weeks ago - on Belair Road After a right turn a truck drifted out wide and pinned me between it and the kerb. He felt close as he approached from behind but kept on coming!
I bounced down the side until the back of the truck hit my wheel. I ended up going over the bars in a front flip and landed on my back. I obliterated my lunchbox, sigh.
Luckily minor injuries only.
My bike needs to be properly checked over, but a new derailleur hanger and a reset of the Di2 gears for sure.Police have informed me that they are tossing up between a simple fine and court proceedings. That decision is up to them.
