Close call opposite a school

The driver pulled out of the junction in front of me. Their sight line was impaired by cars parked close to the junction, and they committed to the maneuver before they were far enough out to see properly.

This is my regular commute, and the parked cars are a real problem, with students having to dodge around them to cross the road. Parents use this space to drop off, and I have had several close calls with distracted parents pulling away after drop-off. It doesn't make much sense to allow parking directly opposite this school and around this junction.
